"EPS historic site" award for Göttingen
The UN General Assembly has declared 2025 the "International Year of Quantum Science and Technology". Quantum mechanics was founded 100 years ago in Göttingen.
The European Physical Society honours the city of Göttingen with the title "EPS Historic Site".
This will be celebrated by a Special Event on Tuesday 1 April 2025 at 18:00 in the Assembly Hall on the Wilhelmsplatz, just 15 min walk distance from the DPG conference venue you are attending.
There is a fixed contingent of seats in the hall for the participants of the DPG Spring Meeting in Göttingen. Please register here https://uni-goettingen.de/en/696005.html until the 26 March.
In addition, the event will be available as live video stream on the YouTube channel of the University of Göttingen https://www.youtube.com/@UnigoettingenDeVideos/streams. This video feed will be also on display in lecture hall ZHG011 (If required additional in ZHG010) in the central lecture hall building where the DPG Spring Meeting takes place.
